True, that their later songs (which I also like) are more meaningful while the earlier ones were just love songs, but screw that 'cos that is exactly the kind of shit I wanna listen to right now; I'll be as much of a wanker as I like and listen to my gay, happy-boppy, early-Beatles music, YEAH. I think if I was born during that time I would've been one of those screaming girls in the audience.

A surprising/odd discovery is that I like John Lennon - as in, fangirl-[83]-like. Search [Pt. 1]

There was an event organised on Facebook a couple of weeks ago called the Melbourne Freeze. Basically, it was a large group of people who stood frozen outside Bourke St Mall for about 5 minutes, then just dispersed after the 5 minutes.

Here's a group doing the Freeze in Paris (apparently the largest crowd in the world with 3000 people).

There's a Melbourne video floating about somewhere. I really wanted to participate in this, but I was studying for exams when this was going on [xP].

Anyway, so last night, I came across the videos of this group in New York called Improv Everywhere, who basically go around and do large-scale public pranks.

The Moebius: a group of people from Improv Everywhere set up a customer time loop at a Starbucks

Look Up More: a large group of people stand in front of every window of a big department store and do silly things.

---------------------------------------------

Now, after watching all these, and especially seeing how the Melbourne Freeze was just thought of randomly by someone, I've honestly been thinking about organising something like this. Maybe I'm just being too ambitious, but I already have an idea that isn't too hard too do and doesn't need a lot of setting up to do. I might try and bring it up with the girl that organised the Melbourne Freeze, or just start the event on my own on Facebook.

I guess I'll post some rough details on here soon too; let me know if you're interested, otherwise I might just scrap the idea! Well anyway, came back from my clinical placements about 2 weeks ago, so a quick overview:

- A lot of people are fat in Bendigo. My theory: For a small city/large-ish town, it contains every single fast food chain. From memory I believe Bendigo had a Maccas, Hungry Jacks, KFC, Red Rooster, Pizza Hut, and Dominos.

- The hospital is inconveniently far away from the town centre where all the shops are if you are forced to go by foot. This was discovered when I was caught out in the rain without an umbrella with Wang on a trip to find a Coles. Groceries were needed.

- On another note, the hospital is at a further distance to keep away the crazies; the hospital student's building I lived in was next door to the psych ward. Getting woken up at 8am by loud tone-deaf singing/rapping is not cool.

- I was surprised twice with people coming in for a foot x-ray, only to discover they had a toe missing. In other words, both exams started off as "OK, I'm gonna start moving you're foot around now..." which would eventually lead to "((something doesn't look quite rig-THERE'S A TOE MISSING! THAT'S DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT D8 ))"

- Going through the shortcut to work is creepy. Going at night after hours past the psych ward make me crap my pants.

- Seeing the mouse that lived in my kitchen made me crap my pants.

- Wear thongs in the shower, and move as far away from the shower curtain as possible.

- Most-taken x-ray: Chests. Least taken: Clavicle.

- Enjoyed taking: I/C knees. Hated taking: Shoulders + anything Hip related.

- Most useful thing I learned: the machine in Room 3 is retarded; good thing I realised this before my assessment.

- Most amusing thing I learned: when I made the connection that the 2nd I/C knee positioning method could be summarised by the image of "OTL".

Overall, placement was pretty good - virtually all the radiographers were nice (with the occasional cranky pants), everyone was pretty relaxed, the workload wasn't horrible, and the work we did was good and interesting. I think having a proper taste of working life just made me wish that I didn't have to go back to uni anymore (or back to shitty work at Max Brenner).

Honestly though, I don't think I'd mind coming back again next year for 5-6 weeks. I probably would've enjoyed Bendigo more if the living conditions were better, and I had easier access to the town (ie. had a car with me), but I guess if I get dumped without a place to go again, Bendigo would be an good choice. Granted I still want try out different places and broaden my expericence, especially in bigger hospitals (or at least in a busier environment), I like that in Bendigo it was never overwhelmingly busy, and that the staff all got along and were relaxed about work; everything was a sort of a nice, breezy expericence.

Ohh, another thing I liked was that a overall the staff were younger than the last place I worked at. And there was a bigger age range of patients - babies and little kids, to adults and the elderly. This, in comparison to my last placement in Ferntree Gully hospital which was across the road from a nursing home. Seriously, virtually 2/3 of the patients that came in there were old, wrinkly people.

And I found out that once I start working, I get a really shit pay. Like, $35k per year. I can barely afford my car after working for a year. Have to be working for at least a couple of to start making decent money. Either that or I specialise in something like ultrasound/sonography, or MRI, or maybe CT..... hmm...

Anyway, sleepy time! Well I've managed to write them back in, and hopefully it doesn't happen again...)

It's been several months since I've posted here, although being a pretty uneventful person, not much has happened, meaning this entry is more likely to consist of mindless babble.

I turned 19 about 2 weeks ago - everyone was dressed in pyjamas, and we toasted marshmallows over random candles [like the somewhat odd people we are xD]. Bummed around the house mostly, chatting, eating, played some "Murder in the Dark", and I remember hitting Alvin a few times with my long pillow [xD]. And we missed out on Singstar due to lack of an actual PS2 console despite having the games there, but was still very much fun without it anyway [:)]. Oh yeah, and Peter, Chii Shi, Feng, and Wang/boyfriend stay quite late into the next day (we watched the first ep. of Gladiators, haha).
Very much loved all my presents: Miracle, So Magic by Lancome; "Never Gone" Backstreet Boys album; toy keyring + necklace from Sandra [:3]; Westlife "The Unbreakable Tour" DVD (although I already had it, but hey it's still cool lol); "Matilda" by Roald Dahl; and from boyfriend I received a pair of socks, car freshener, a sweet potato [which was awesome when mashed with normal potatoes and carrots <3], style="font-weight: bold;">[Q] Do you prefer people just giving you presents that they decide on, or telling people what presents they should buy for you?

I'm more for the second option - I mean, unless you are 100% certain that I will like whatever you've bought for me, like "Matilda" (well done, Lawrence!) or flowers [big hint to someone... ;P], I would much rather tell people to buy me things that I really want than surprise me with something random and be somewhat disappointed. It's like when you're a kid and you're not too sure what to do about this random photo frame you've just unwrapped.

Moving on!

So it's another new school/uni year, and thanks to me failing one of my subjects in semester 1 last year, I'm still doing a part time load because I'm now repeating. But hey, I'm not really complaining since I have so little hours (ie. so much free time to be an ass and bum around):

Monday: Free, except in week 6 and 7 when I have morning lab classes
Tuesday: MedRad Tech/ONPS2343 lecture, 11:30am - 12:30pm
Wednesday: Chinese-2 at City campus, 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Thursday: Free
Friday: MedRad Tech/ONPS2343 lecture, 11:30am - 1:30pm; fortnightly labs that rotate between 1:30pm - 3:30pm, and 3:30pm - 5:30pm.

So let's say on a regular basis I'll have roughly 6 hours a week, and I'll at most have 10 hours provided in the one week I have both a Monday and a Friday lab (which I think happens in week 7). It's not too bad repeating since I'm not actually alone in this [quite a few of my uni friends failed this subject too xD]. And together we all felt somewhat sad and pathetic that we were surrounded by new first years, while the repeaters all managed to fit into a row and a half in the lecture theatre [^^;;]. But the point is we felt sad and pathetic together, not sad and pathetic alone, lol.
And, oh yes, I am doing Chinese. You know, even though I did 3&4 in VCE, my god I've forgotten a lot! It's a wonder how I got through VCE Chinese [D:]. I mean I am going through the subject with reasonable ease, but I'm still coming across words that I don't know/had forgotten how to write, but at least I'm properly learning how to write tone marks for pinyin ['coz I never really knew how xP], as well as proper grammar (which are the two main things I wanted to learn in Chinese-2). I hope I do really well in this subject, I'll feel somewhat ridiculous if I only manage to get a pass [._."].

Another thing: it has come to my attention that I seem to have a lack of new clothes. As much as I hate shopping I really should go out and buy myself some crap to wear. To quote (roughly) Lisa Simpson : "It feels like I've been wearing the same dress over and over again for the past 8 years". I seriously don't think I have the patience, stamina, and willingness to spend money (due to me being quite a cheapo) to really go shopping. Hmm... maybe I should use that wad of birthday cash I have...

Anyhoo, that's about all from me for now. I just forgot I still have a class tomorrow, so I'll be printing off my lecture notes now and heading to bed. Niteoo [^-^]!!

HEY NAT.

"An index finger."

Hahahahahahahaha [xD].

So, for the past week - general bumming things and whatever, nothing particularly eventful.

Went to Fred's birthday dinner at TGI Friday's - holy crap, Jack Daniel's Burger = <3. Seriously though, I don't think I could ever manage eating the entire thing EVER again, it was freakin' huge!!

Sent Andrew off at the airport on the weekend with Peter and Wang - only had about 3 hours sleep in total, and I still had to go to work after we dropped him off at the airport. But it wasn't too bad, work was ridiculously busy so it kept me well awake for the 4 hours of my shift.

Apart from that, just some coffee here and there, and bumming around at people's houses watching random things.

And it seems to be everyone's birthday all of a sudden - I'm still having a lot of trouble figuring out what I want to do. Anyone have any ideas? I don't really wanna do a dinner, but then I can't exactly do a house party either [things didn't turn out so well with the parents the next day ^^;;]. I guess everyone's reaching that age where we're supposed to be having "adult" parties, where we stand around, have dinner or drink at a bar, and make polite conversation. I don't know about anyone else, but that sounds preeeeeetty boring to me. Guess I just need to think harder [^^;;].

I've been thinking about stuff that I want for my birthday too [no trouble there ;P], and I've realised that a lot of it is just random silly things, not like last year when I asked people to get me an external hard drive... my list of stuff seems to contain a lot of movies/DVDs [o.o"]; I'll post it here when it's closer to the day and I can think of more stuff lol.

Oh yeah... and thanks to Peter and Wang, for making me feel better [^_^].

Anyhoo, that's all for now :)

Oh yeah, disco fever <3

"Disco", by Linda Martin.

I rediscovered my sister's old 4Play party remix CDs the other day with all these disco songs on them, and since then I've been on a mass disco rampage; been downloading songs like nuts.

And once again, I've been lazy and neglected updating my blog, a good two weeks or so have passed already! Although not much has happened recently, only a few things stand out at the moment, the rest are all blurred together - it's what happens when you've been home for too long [=/].

Anyhoo, there was Nat's birthday party last Tuesday. Rocked up nice and early to her house at 10:30am [D;], although everyone didn't arrive until 12:30 or so. By then, we all gathered our things, and we set off on a road trip to the "Enchanted Maze Garden" in Arthurs Seat (not far from Mornington Peninsula). We ate our food, played around in the maze [I got lost D;] and the pretty gardens... you know that kid's maze was a lot prettier than a lot of the other parts of the place lol. Oh yeah, and HOLY GEEBUS, the grass they had everywhere was so nice! Really soft, and as clean-feeling as grass could get [xD].
Didn't leave until the place closed at 6pm, and got back to Glenny at about 7:30. Had dinner at the new Korean place "Goshen" - not as good as Kim Chi Grandma, but still awesome and much yumminess. I hate that since there aren't many Korean, and even Japanese restaurants around, they tend to charge as much as they want - Korean and Japanese food is expensive (with the exception of places like Sushi Sushi and Don Don)!!
Bummed at Nat's house for a bit longer 'til everyone left up until 12:30am... ? Roughly. Went to pick up my sister [Peter and Wang tagged along, thanks guy ;D] from the city, then stumbled on home.

Mmh... what else?
I've been working a lot more lately - I asked for more shifts from my manager on my last shift before New Years. I've started training on food and drinks too, instead of just doing floor work - lots of fun, but I'm still trying to get used to handling the rushes of orders that come in.

Went out today to Chadstone with Peter and Want to get a necklace replaced at Mimco [the chain was kinda flimsy and it broke >.>], but apparently that particular necklace wasn't even meant to be on sale yet, so I'll have to go back after Friday when they're in stock. Shopped around randomly, ate sushi, drove to Officeworks, and back to Wang's house for Daria, among other things.

Other than that, not much else has happened [and I can't remember enough stuff to write about it properly ^^;;] ... had Yum Cha lunch twice in a week [with the family, and with the friends ;P], running errands here and there, and general bumming at someone's house.

Things are all nice and easy-going at the moment... I wouldn't say I'm complaining as such, just that I wish I had more to do. Going out it is good, although I'm horribly broke at the moment; when I'm at home it's either TV or computer, but not much is on these days, and I've exhausted my normal online entertainment resources. I need to stick things back on my ceiling again [dammit -.-"], but I'm pretty reluctant seeing as it's summer, and anything I stick back will probably fall off next week. And I've lost my patience already with my replaying of FFVII since I know what's coming next and it's ridiculously frustrating.
Maybe I should get into some reading, find a good book or something. Or get back into some piano stuff, haven't done that in a while.

Before I head off: The other day I was in David Jones with my sister, I was looking at fragrances. There was this day during year 12 that (I think) me, Nat, and Kristin were going around testing random perfumes and I came across Lancome "Miracle: So Magic!"

"Miracle: So Magic!" - fragrance by Lancome.

Well yes, I found it again that other day with my sister, and I remembered how much I liked it. Much prettiness [x3].
So when it gets to birthday time, can someone PLEASE GET IT FOR ME!?! [D;]

Guess where I'm going...! Peter came back a few days ago [whoohoo! xD] so that was cool.

Went to Wang's house to watch Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien with Chii Shi, Allan, and Peter... although we had to go to Peter's house to wake him up [>.>]. Peter disappeared the night before on everyone's MSN when he went to shower and cut his hair. It wasn't until about 4 hours later we realised that he probably wasn't coming back.
Oh yeah, and Peter bought me a present [x3]:

The soft toy version of that, lol. It's actually pretty big... and Allan and Wang had to violate it with continuous crotch-grabbings. Poor bear [.__."]
Also met up with Andrew in Glenny and had dinner at Bob's. Apparently it might be closing down 'coz the owner sold it. Anyone know anything about this? I like my dumplings [=/].

And yesterday I got violently woken up by my sister the other day, and by violently I mean she opened my door ridiculously loudly and went "MUM'S ANNOYED AND SHE WANTS YOU TO GET UP AND GO DOWNSTAIRS AND EAT LUNCH!" And my mum wasn't really annoyed, I just got some residual angry from my sister 'coz my mum was pestering her about something, and she was talking to her boyfriend on the phone and was in a bit of a shit with him, lol.

Didn't do much until much later (10:30pm or so) when I went to Wang's house with Peter again with the intention of finishing the last few episodes of KGNE... but ended up going to Vincent's since he just got back from Hong Kong too, lol. HE HAS AN ELECTRIC VIOLIN, WHICH IS RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME [o____o!!] And he bought back a bunch of rings with star sign symbols on them; I took the one with Aries [=3]. It's kinda chunky for a girl ring, and it's a little loose, but it's still cool and I like it.
After that, went to pick up my sister from her boyfriend's/Lawrence's apartment in the city [Peter and Wang tagged along to keep me company in the car =3], and went home.

So yeah... that's about it. I seriously need more things to do, I'm spending waaaay too much time on Gaia when really I'm doing all day is posting random crap. If you have any ideas, feel free to tell me. Haven’t really been doing much lately since virtually everyone is overseas. So, highlights of the past two weeks or so:

-Went to an auction with my dad in Cheltenham. We got ourselves a new oven!! Stainless steel, brand new, $900. We actually need to get a technician to come look at it though, it’s not working quite right [=/]

- My Threadless T-Shirts arrived today!! I’ve been waiting on them since the end of November, probably just took a while with the Christmas postage stuff. The names of the shirts I got were: Take me to Tokyo, Northern Ice Pilot, Haikus are easy, Cyclope, and Marshmallow Factory.

- Went to Steph’s house a while ago. Since we're bother somewhat obsessed with Westlife, and both had some Westlife DVD’s we had a mini marathon and watched:
a. A Concert (manly thrusting all over again <3) and,
b. Our other two DVD’s with video clips and interviews.

- Still not getting enough shifts at work… really need to talk to my manager about it next time I see her.

- Oh yeah, I finished my ceiling!! All spaces covered (‘cept for those few little bits here and there), now I just need to stick back stuff when it falls, and not worry about finding new things. It’ll take a photo of it when I figure out where the camera is… [o.o"]

- After finishing my ceiling, I’ve been on a big cleaning rampage with my room. I changed my sheets, took apart a section of my desk (so now my room looks a little bigger ‘coz there’s more floor space), wiped down my blinds [so much dust D;] and cleaned my window. Oh yeah, and bought new air freshener ("Jasmine and Kiwi", by AirWick)… before the whole cleaning and whatnot my room always kinda smelled. And not in the good way [D;]. According to Steph, even with the air freshener I had last time (“Appleberry”, by Glade) she said my room was like “apples, and liquorice… and pot.” Yes. But now it's all clean, and nice, and pretty [:D].

I think that's all for now, can't think of much else that's new.

Oh so lazy...

"A Lazy Day"

Finally getting around to writing a new post. I feel like I should talk about stuff that's happened that I haven't mentioned yet, rather than actual stuff that's happened recently. But since I've left it for so long and can't really be bothered going into detail (plus I've forgotten a few things here and there) I'm going to pretty much gonna summarise stuff in a few short paragraphs.

[1] Picnic at Beach at night (oh my, seems so long ago).
After some, uh, technical difficulties I headed down to the beach at 9:30pm-ish with Steph, and picked up Kristin and Nat along the way... met up with Peter, Andy, Ben, Allan, Wang, Frank, and Chii Shi (I think that was everyone?) first at 24-Hour Coles, then drove down to Edithvale beach.
- All food was yummy (esp. the sushi, OMG INARI <3)
- Peter's onigiri were ridiculously huge
- Human pyramid hurts
- Camera flash in the dark hurts.

[2] Road trip with my sister and her friends to Phillip Island.
Place was very nice, well furnished and uber clean. We all explored the town over the two days we were there, and ate good food. Oh yeah, and beach [x3]
- WOOHOO, I got fisherman pants!
- My sister and her friends making fun of the schoolies lol...
- Getting sunburned on my arm, and being overall slightly tanner on my left than my right side [=/]
- If anyone's interested in buying weed my sister's friend is in excess and willing to sell [xD]
- Watching election coverage (yay Kevin'07!)
- Mass vomit.

[3] Jap food @ Peter's house.
Met up with Kristin and Nat first at Gloria Jeans for drinks, then bought some stuff for Peter to make Jap pancakes/Okonomiyaki. I helped Peter make some of the stuff (chopped up cabbage, made onigiri). All good and awesome.
- I wish I had a kimono [xP]
- I make good onigiri yay? [^^;;]
- White Wings Buttermilk Pancakes + Icecream = OMG <333

Ok I think that's all for now. Other stuff has happened, but I'll probably write more on that in my next post. 3:38am, bed time!!

Wouldn't it be awesome if everyone could ride a chocobo to work?

Chocobo [Wiki]: a fictional large, normally flightless galliforme/ratite bird capable of being ridden and is a staple of the Final Fantasy series.

"FFVII: Cloud riding a chocobo."

It'd be like riding a giant chicken everywhere.

Anyway, this week, again, has been pretty good. It's holiday time! So yeah, don't really have anything to complain about.

Earlier in the week me and my sister decided it was time to clean the backyard/gazebo & BBQ stove. Went out to Glenny to get some cleaning stuff and to eat lunch. Walking up to Shine, ran into Peter and Kristin eating lunch at Malibu. Chatted about random things and ate too much food, then all of us went to Knox to get more cleaning/grocery things, then finally headed back home to start cleaning.
It took the 4 of us a good 2 hours or so to clean everything - me and Kristin did most of the BBQ, and my sister and Peter cleaned the gazebo (plus the table and all the chairs).
Holy crapness, that BBQ thing was so grotty, took a LOT of scrubbing and cleaning stuff to get all of it off (actually probably not all, there's still a few remnants here and there, but hey we still did a pretty good job). At least the tiles aren't completely black anymore.
Gazebo wasn't as bad, but still pretty gross [with bird poop and all ._."]. Chairs didn't take too long since they weren't too dirty (same with the table, although that did have a few little spiders and spider webs); Peter cleaned off a lot of crap from the side rails and scrubbed at the floor as well (with a broom, not a brush like Cinderella style LOL).
After all that, we chatted some more about underweight Asian actors and noses (I have a good nose, LOL?!) and ate okonomiyaki. I think Peter and Kristin left at around 1:30am or so? Something like that anyhoo [:D]

Actually now that I think about it it seems like I've been doing a lot of random running around doing errands this week. I think the day after cleaning my dad gave me and my sister money to go get him a computer. Yeah... he's wanted one for a while but we only recently got around to go properly hunting for one. We went to Harvey Norman and got him a pretty good one too, it's all black and cool-looking and Vista-like. I feel somewhat embarrassed that my dad's computer is somewhat better than ours [>.>]. I've lost track of the days, but I think after we got home, I ended up going out later that night with uhh... Kristin, Nat, Peter, Wang, Chii Shi, Feng and Andrew (did I forget anyone?). Headed to Peter's first, then went out to Airstream for dessert stuff, then to Box Hill for supper ("At 2am"!! haha). afterwards we all went back to Kristin's, I took Nat home at about 2:30am I think? Can't remember...
LOL@Andrew when I overtook him driving back to Kristin's house. He was being an ass when I left and drove Nat home - he left at the same time to take Chii Shi home, overtook me, and drove reeaally slow and stopped in front of me lol [xD]

I think this has turned into a somewhat unexpectedly long-ish post because I don't blog that often, and stuff keeps happening, and I think I've got my days mixed around because I've been on holidays too long. So here's a random picture to break up the text:

"So cute it'll make your head explode."

Day after buying the comp for dad, I spent a good two hours setting it all up for him: wireless internet, anti-virus/spyware, printer, browser plugins etc. Steph called me randomly to go gym with her; came and picked me up at 5pm, got to Chaddy Fitness First by 5:30 for the Body Combat class [my arms and back still hurt =/]. After the class we went to StarEast in Glenny for food [which accidentally turned into dinner 'coz we both got pretty full xD] and pretty much ate back what we burned off at gym lol. Steph drove me back home, but then I forgot my sister called me before I left 'coz she wanted me to change our white DS at Target to get a pink one. The three us went back up to Glenny, but they sold out (are pink DSs really popular?). Oh man... so funny when my sister was talking to the guy, she made a [D;] face. Me and Steph laughed so hard when my sister was talking to the guy about getting a DS case.

Sales guy: "We don't have that many cases, these are the only ones we have..."
Her: "Ew."

The guy was nice though, he seemed pretty amused too [xD].

I think a day or two before the backyard cleaning thing I went over to Wang's house for some reason that I don't remember. Peter was there too, we watched some Chaser's War, and Power Rangers: Forever Red [xD]. Oh yeah, and we nagged Wang into playing piano. Later went and picked up Feng on a random street near her house, drove to Box Hill and had supper (supper seems to be the new "thing" these days) and crepes [apple and cinnamon x3].

Ook, now, YESTERDAY... drove my sister out to the city/Lawrence's/boyfriend's apartment 'coz he was taking her away for her birthday [she won't be back 'til Sunday xD]. Came back to Glenny and met up with Kristin. Called Peter and Wang, ate dinner at Shine. Eventually Alan, Chris, Chii Shi, Andy and Nat all came along as well. After that, everyone drove back to the car park behind Dan Murphy's/in front of GWSC.
I don't really know what we were doing here, it mainly consisted of talking about random things, noticing how virtually EVERYONE drove, and Peter taking Alan's car for a test drive in Glenny with Wang in the storage compartment. And at some point we decided to play sardines in the school. Took up a good hour or so to find Peter (he was hiding in the bike shed!); me, Kristin and Nat almost gave up to go eat Cake at Airstream lol. We ended up heading over there after the game finished anyway. Bummed around some more, ate yummy cakes, oh, and once again went back to the car park [>.>] I left at around 2am or so (same with Nat), got home at about 2:15.

#9 - I think this one started kinda recently and I have no idea why, but every time I flush a toilet I have to put the toilet lid down. Maybe it's the idea what when you flush the toilet, the water sometimes splashes out, and we all know how dirty and germ-infested toilet water is. I don't know why it never used to bother me, but now it does [D:].

Ok I think I'm done now. Big effort writing all that out. I should blog more often, it'll stop me from having to keep doing ridiculously long posts.

This has nothing to do with my post, but I just feel like saying "poop".

I bought the new Backstreet Boys album "Unbreakable"! But more on that later.

Whee, I finished my last exam on Monday. Monday was a pretty good day though - after my exam I went back to Glenny and met up with Kristin, Nat and Peter for dinner. I ended up heading over there a little earlier so I could check my shifts at work ('coz I forgot what time I was working).

Holy crap...

My manager (Nice Emma) asked me to work for about an hour 'coz they were severely short-staffed, tables weren't cleared, the back kitchen was FILLED with dirty dishes and dishes that needed to be put away. I felt kinda bad with all that crap, so yeah... almost like I got guilted into working. Man, I was only there for an hour and I was tired. But I got paid, and Emma made me a free drink, so I'm happy.

Kristin, Nat and Peter actually waited there while I was working. When I finished we went and ate at Coco Lounge.

"Hamster Enjoys Broccoli"

Broccoli at Coco Lounge is surprisingly good.

The four of us went back to my house. Peter and Nat studied some for their exam on Thursday, and we bummed around watching stuff and chatting 'til 1am or so.

Tuesday... went to work at 12. Got sent home early at 3 instead of finishing at 6 'coz it was kinda quiet (Melbourne Cup, hey?) Went to late lunch/early dinner with my sister and mum in Box Hill (@ Hills!), came back home; got picked up by Peter, Kristin, and Wang (I nagged them to come out and play with me after work... and forgot to tell them I wasn't finishing at 6 anymore ^^;;) and went out to Knox to eat. We saw Roy working, that was kinda cool - he gave us free ice cream :)
Came back to my house again, bummed around (oh, haha! we watched Card Captors and Sailor Moon xD), everyone left at 6am lol.

"Promo image for Backstreet Boys' new album"

Oh Backstreet...
I bought the new Backstreet Boys album a little while ago. While it is still pretty good, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed by it. I was VERY into their rock-ish sounding songs (or, as they call it, "adult contemporary") from their previous album, but apprently for this album they were getting back to their "pop roots". Hey Backstreet? You were not built for new/sexy pop, you DO NOT sing songs that sound like they should be sung by Hilary Duff, Britney Spears or even Lindsey Lohan. Just... no [D;] But hey, you got a few songs right.

Almost 4am.

I FINISHED EXAMS. Temp. peaked at 33 or something today, and it's not even summer yet! Fark, gonna be so hot once it's February.

Oh yeah, before I start talking about today, probably need to recap over some stuff over the past week or so. But since my memory is horrible I'll probably end up missing a few things here and there.
I don't think I really did that much this week though, I mean, all I really did was go to uni and study. But on Friday, I had dinner with Steph at Bob's (yay dumplings!!! [:3]), then went to watch "The Producers" musical with her and Jerry. It was just a small production company doing it, so tickets were cheap (only $34!) and the theatre was just in Burwood. Then after that we drove Jerry home 'coz his mum was cracking the shits at him 'coz the musical actually ended like an hour later than we anticipated.
Peter actually called us earlier 'coz he was meeting up with other people for dinner for a "let's do something before we get separated from each other for about 3 weeks due to exams", but we already had plans. So instead, after we dropped Jerry home we drove over to Peter's house; Kristin, Allan, Andrew, Wang, Chii Shi and Feng were all there just bumming around watching
"War/Rogue Assassin".
Oh yeah, after the movie, we started watching that late-night TV gameshow. Faaaarrk.... that was the most retarded question ever... "How many litres?" Hey Peter, you know I was still doing stuff downstairs at about 3 and I turned the TV on randomly, and THEY STILL HADN'T ANSWERED THE QUESTION.
Anyway, me and Steph went home after most people had left, got home at around 1:30 (I think?).

Saturday... I made a lot of cookies. Lawrence was having his house-warming/birthday party, but I didn't end up going, so I just made a lot of cookies for my sister to give him when she went over lol.

Kristin said I should put in pictures in my posts to aid the reading and such. I don't really have any, so here's some random pictures I found of Max Brenner food [ :) ].

Now, today! First day of work at Max Brenner. Wasn't all that bad, the girls working there are all nice. I didn't do anything particularly hard either, main jobs were:
- Clearing and cleaning tables
- Stacking the dishwasher
- Taking dishes back to the counter
- Running out orders to tables
Was really busy between 3 - 5, everything died down by 5 since the shopping centre entrance closed. I dropped two spoons, but I didn't break anything. But I screwed up some of the orders though.
When orders are made, you get a little receipt to tell you what orders go out to which table. But if the customer orders food AND drinks you end up with two separate receipts (one for food, and one for drinks) with red stamps on them. Zoomj... about 3 times today I took out the first set of orders, took away the table number, then found out they ordered more stuff and couldn't remember which table it was.
The last time I did it though I got kinda shitty. The second manager that takes over when my normal one leaves I suspected was a bit of a bitch when I first saw her. I mean, she wasn't too bad, but she's a bit weird, and she kinda ignored me for most of the time and only really talked to the other girls.
The last time I screwed up the order I asked her what I was supposed to do 'coz I accidentally took away the table number; then she kinda greased me off for a few seconds, and said "just look through the receipts and find what the last thing you brought to the table," then walked off. Like, I know I'm a retard and I made a mistake, and I'm not really expecting her to make me feel better or anything about screwing up, but shit dude, it's my freakin' first day!
Man, I hope she's not working on my next shift on Saturday.

#8 - Blowing my nose. I can't do it in public - it's too grotty. I'd rather sniff endlessly all day when I'm out than blow my nose. Only at home.

Ok I think I'm done here, off to procrastinate some more now~!

MYSPACE: [01/10/07] Mid-Semester Break, and I’m scared to live in my own house.

This seems to be the most decent entry I've done as of late that I thought I should copy over. The original post was on MySpace on 1st October, so I'm just copying it over now (see previous entry!)
----------------------------------------------------
[HEADS UP: Long post!]

You know, this has probably been my most eventful school/uni break I've had in a long time. Pretty much all the things I wanted to, or haven wanted to do for a while:
- Went out a lot
- Got a job
- Fixed my ceiling
Let's start from the start:

Monday.
Monday was Steph's birthday. Went out to see Superbad with her and a few of her other friends (if I can remember their names: Serita - spelt like it's said? I have no freakin' clue but she's awesome; Vince - her close family friend; David - another family friend? In any case, I think he goes to my uni; Andrew - though he left pretty early on; and Ben - I think that's his name but eh, I forget... but he likes Final Fantasy piano music).
Movie was better than I thought it would be, but was a LOT dirtier than I thought it would be - still good all the same. 6.5/10.
But within the last 10 minutes or so of the ending, the film screwed up so there was sound but no video. Everyone left the cinema and cracked it at the staff, and we all got free movie passes (yay!)

Rocked up home at around 11:30, bummed around for a while, then went online. Started chatting to Kristin and Peter 'coz they were asking about karaoke and sleeping over (ie. stuff we were gonna do on Friday), turns out they were heading out to go to another friend's (Allan) house for BBQ. I ended up going as well: I snuck out of the house while my mum was asleep (my sister was awake though), picked up Kristin, met up with everyone else (Peter, Chii Shi, Wang, Andy; Andrew rocked up later), stopped at Coles to buy food, and drove to Allan's house. We ate random kebabs and sausages, while watching Die Hard 4 and Jackass. Oh man, I didn't get home 'til 6:30am, almost shat my pants when I was walking through the front door hoping my mum wouldn't wake up.

Tuesday... Wednesday.
Tuesday and Wednesday were somewhat less eventful, mainly just rolling around the house and doing nothing, with the exception of resume-spamming around Knox and Glenny. And finally getting around to restoring my ceiling... took freakin' 4 hours to get it all done, plus put up a few new things. I got two calls for job interviews though, one at Muffin Break, and another one at Max Brenner. Although I don't mind working at either, I'd prefer working at Max Brenner. Here are my ideas about both:

Muffin Break:
- It's muffins
- Reasonably easy work
- Standard pay (same as Max Brenner)
- Other people working there seem nice
- not very busy (can be good and bad)

Max Brenner:
- It's chocolate
- Usually busy (can be good and bad)
- Lot of training for different stuff
- Standard pay (same as Muffin Break)
- ... dude, it's chocolate.

I'm starting training for Muffin Break tomorrow (Monday) which is a bit retarded since I didn't expect them to take me in straight away, I'm still waiting for Max Brenner to call me back on Wednesday and hopefully I'll get the job there, though I'll feel bad turning down Muffin Break, especially after starting training.

Thursday.
Ahh.... job interviews. Max Brenner was good, got interviewed by the store's manager, Emma. She was nice, took down notes an' whatever, seemed somewhat promising. Muffin Break was alright, but like I said before I got accepted straight away, training starts on Monday. <strike>Sister came home, wants me to bum around with her at home, gonna watch Lord of the Rings 3 (after watching the first two earlier today). Will finish this later </strike><3~!
When I was about to head home, Nat called - she was meeting up with Kristin, Nat, Peter, Wang, Vincent, Andrew, Lisa, and Ben for dinner at Bob's Kitchen, then go watch Rush Hour 3. I tagged along, all was good. Ate dinner, watched the movie, then all of us bummed around at Airstream for a while, then went home. Oh wait, forgot to mention I started geting a headache during dinner, and within the last hour of the movie HOLY CRAP IT HURT SO BAD. Popped two pills (Panadol) soon as I got home.

Friday.
Ahhh Friday..... drove to Glenny to catch the train to city. Met up with people (mmh... Chii Shi, Peter, Andrew, Wang, Allan, Vincent, Kristin, Nat, Lisa, Chii Shi's girlfriend who's name is either Feng or Fang - sorry!) at FM Karaoke on Bourke St at about 4 (mental reminder: k-box is better). Sang lots of songs (including Westlife, Backstreet Boys, among other things~) 'til 8. walked to Maccas and bought food to eat on the train (we all finished eating before we got on though, the train took about 20 minutes to arrive).

Got back to Glenny, everyone came to my house with the exception of Vincent and Lisa (she left while we were still at kara though, was going to another friend's birthday - sorry Vidhya I didn't go!).
Started watching The Grudge 2 (US Version), and afterwards started talking about ghost stories and how Peter's and Chii Shi's houses were potentially haunted - it is currently Monday at the time of finishing this blog post, and I'm still shitting myself walking upstairs and going to the toilet myself at night. I hate you guys.
We moved over the back side of my house 'coz my mum was sleeping upstairs, then we were just chatting about random crap. Kinda got hungry at about 4am, so Peter and a few others started making onigiri.

--> INSET: Everyone seems to love my house, usually for it's abundance of food. We usually like to keep our fridge and cupboards well stocked with stuff, and it's probably something we take for granted 'coz I don't think anyone elses house has that much food. I mean, if at 4am I can pull out stuff to make onigiri (tuna, Japanese mayo, nori/seaweed sheets), then hey, that's kinda cool isn't it? <--

I kinda felt like making cake, so I headed out with Andrew, Wang, Nat (we were taking her home), and Kristin to the 24-hour Coles in Burwood (I had to buy chocolate).
Got back at around 5am, I started making cake soon after that. Fang and Kristin fell asleep, Allan kept running on the treadmill to keep himself awake, and Peter was playing Scabble with Andrew, Wang, and Chii Shi. I think Andrew went home at about 7:30 or 8, Peter left at about 9, and Allan went home soon after as well (my mum was heading up to Glenny and she offered to give him a lift up).

Between 9:30 and 12 I kinda phased in and out of sleep, and I think everyone else kinda did too. Kristin probably got the most sleep 'coz she piked it ealier than the most of us, haha. At around 1 I drove everyone out to Glenny 'coz we got hungry and started craving sushi. After we ate, Kristin bumped into her mum and went home with her, so I drove home Chii Shi, Fang, and Wang.

I think I got home at about 4 or so, and oh man, HAD THE MOST AWESOME NAP. My god... I slept 'til 10:30 or so, went downstairs and ate "dinner". Rolled around the house for ages since I wasn't really tired anymore - bummed with my sister when she came back from clubbing, and I finally went back to sleep at 5.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep.... so that was my nicely eventful mid-semester break. And I'm pretty done with this entry, will probably write again soon seeing as I'm pretty active on MySpace these days and I hate myself to admit that I like it too [D;].

HOLY CRAP I'M BACK ON BLOGSPOT // #7

Well, not really...

I felt kinda bad for this blog, seeing as how I abandoned it and all. I've been like 100 times more active on MySpace these days (and I hate myself for it D;) and I do most of my blogging on there. So I think instead of completely shitting all over this blog and leaving it here to wither away, I'll just copy over anything I write into this one here.

Hmm... anything else?

Updates since my last posting:
- I am going to have my end-of-year exams in about 2 weeks.
- Oh yeah, I failed one of my mid-year exams, so this semester I'm only doing 2 subjects because the subject I failed happened to be a co-requisite of another one, which is gay. But still good, first semester went by so slowly 'coz it was so shit with all the studying, and the hours, and the travel time, but now I'm only needed at Uni 4 days a week, 2 hours each day. Oh yeah, and about travel time...
- I GOT MY P'S, so... yeah! Driving around to Uni, listening to my mp3 player filled with awesome stuff (Kaiser Chiefs, Coldplay, Eskimo Joe, Jason Mraz, Westlife, Backstreet Boys... among other things...)
- I GOT A JOB. although I haven't officially started yet (first shift 21st October 2007). You'll find me at Max Brenner in Glen Waverley [;D]

I think that's all I can think of at the moment. And now since I have nothing better to do, I think I'll start copying over a few of my blogs.
-------------------------------------------------
#7: Was reading through some of my older posts just then and I remembered ages ago I was doing this thing where every time I thought of another neurotic/weird habit I had I'd post it.

So, number 7 - I should probably credit this to Kristin 'coz she's the one that mentioned it in one of the comments. I can't sleep with my wardrobe door open - it has to be COMPLETELY closed... not even a crack. I know there's no monster in my closet, but I've seen too many scary movies and I just have the thought that there is some form of a scary person hiding in my closet, holding a some form of an object that will induce death on me. If it's open a little, get that feeling like "... there's someone in there watching me..."

Yeah... [^^;;]

ENTER.

Look, I figured it would be easier if I just wrote this out rather than have to deal with the mass influx of questions.

My ENTER is 85.95.

And yes really, I am that shit. Thick as a plank.

But honestly, this is what I expected. I knew I didn't do that well this year with the marks I'd been getting for my SACs, and even with my exams I think the only one I thought I really aced was Methods (which my study score I'm happy with).

So right now, I AM a little bit upset/disappointed, but hey, can't help it.[^^;;]. Actually if I got below 80 then I would be absolutely emo'ing.

Well anyways, I'm going through my course selections and I can still get into this other course I wanted to do (Prosthetics and Orthotics at LaTrobe), but it sucks that it's so far (LaTrobe, Bundoora). I'm still looking at my options with other things, but right now that seems to be the best choice. I think I'm more worried about how I'm getting to Bundoora 'coz it's so far (campus, or driving?). Although even if I did get into the original course I wanted to do (Radiography) I'd only have two options: Monash, or RMIT in Bundoora (most likely this one lol).

Yup... if I go to LaTrobe, everyone has to come out and play with me as often as possible, 'coz according to my sister I will probably be a bit of a loner there and not really like anyone [^^?].

So, no further questions about my score. If anything, let's talk about YOUR ENTER. If you did well then you are awesome; if you're emo'ing then I'll share your pain [xD].

"tb: TADAIMA!!" [xD]

((*sigh*... you know it's beyond me why when I obviously have nothing better to do that I don't bother finishing my half-written entries. Might as well start now I suppose - road trip was about a month ago so I'll try and fill in whatever I can.))

Just got back from road trip to Rosebud/Sorrento with Steph, my sister, and 4 of my sister's friends (Mel, Amanda, Sharon, and Fi) - we rented a beach house for 3 days. Ahh... much fun it was: movies, beach, and champage. Now, where to start?

[Day 1]
Bit of a slow start. Steph rocked up at my house at around 10:30pm-ish, then my sister told me we didn't actually have to leave the house until 3:30pm when my dad got home. We just bummed around my house for a few hours while my sister went out with her boyfriend for breakfast (for her birthday, haha). She came back at roughly 2pm with one of her friends (Tina) and we all went to Knox to waste time and whatever - while we were there I ended up buying two tops for $30, so that was awesome.
After that Tina drove us to Glenny and went home. We met up with Amanda, Sharon and Fi; my sister and the three of them ended up leaving first, while me and Steph waited for Mel to come pick us up.

Mel came by at 5:30pm-ish to pick us up and headed towards Rosebud (she just got a Mini Cooper: navy blue, two-door, awesome interior, very nice). We arrived at about 7pm (I actually thought we'd take longer), unpacked some of our things and watched some movies (mean girls) and whatnot. Took out a bottle of champagne, I got through about 3/4 of a glass and my face went full-on red and I was feeling a bit light-headed (alcohol intake is like... 0?).

A bit later in the night my sister and her friends were rolling up joints (yes, she DID have weed on her). They made several but didn't really get on much of a high, although my sister and Amanda were a bit giggly, Sharon was seriously deep&meaningful-ish, but Fi and Mel didn't really feel much so they were only spacing out a little bit. But hey, it was funny all the same watching them. My sister kept saying they should've bought a bong [-.-"].
We actually ended up eating all the junk food we brought with us that was supposed to last for the two days that we were staying over (my sister's friends most likely finished it 'coz of their munchies effect). So later at about 12am or so while they were watching "Down With Love" they managed to find a pizza place and ordered 3. Me and Steph were bumming around in our room (although we came out when the food arrived), she was reading my manga that I bought with me, and I was rolling around on my bed listening to mp3 player (partially 'coz I was still a bit tipsy from the champagne).
Not much else happened, we went to bed pretty soon afterwards (I ended up moving beds and shared the double bed with my sister).
Quote: "Hey... you should go up to your mum and say... 'I made you'."

[2 - Peak Day]
Gayhead Sharon woke everyone up at 10am. Her and my sister went out for a little while to go buy some food, the rest of us just bummed around the house until they got back.

All of us left the house at about 12:30pm and drove over to Sorrento. Fi and Amanda had a "Swim With Dolphins" thing planned so when we rocked up at the beach they left soon after. The sand on the beach was crap... had a lot of shells mixed in, painful to walk around.
Heh, actually saw Alan with his MHS friends. While we were chatting and stuff, my sister kinda pointed over "Hey, isn't that Alan?!" Indeedy it was... after a few moments, my sister made me and Steph go walk around and buy her a drink (and some playing cards if we could find any). We walked to the end of the street and saw Alan with his friends. We chatted for a bit then he left with his friends to search for food. He looked kinda shitty/tired though [xP]. Oh well!
Got back to beach, sat around some more, played Bluff/Cheat/Bullshit (Mel won), and a game of Big 2 (I won). Steph and I walked around on the beach (with shoes on!) and waded around in the water a bit.

BONG HUNT!
My sister really wanted to go buy a bong, so I walked up to the shops again with Mel to go look for one. We got to a surfie shop and they asked the guys there where they could buy one (they laughed at them, then told them where to get one). The three of us left to go get one, Sharon and Steph stayed at the beach to wait for Fi and Amanda 'coz they had their car keys.
We were driving down towards the house and we stopped at this tattoo place 'coz they figured they'd probably sell some. My sister and Mel went in to ask - they laughed at them and told them to go to a different store 'coz the other one closed down. So we drove over to that store, and got laughed at again, and finally got themselves a bong.

Went back to the house and just waited around for the others to get back...

[[Later in the night]]
We opened two bottles of champage. Everyone had some but only me, my sister and Fi got really tipsy and happy and so on: we started singing old Mariah Carey songs and dancing around and generally being gay [xD]; Steph was outside (and later in one of the bedrooms) on the phone talking to her friend about a boi she liked *wink* and partially emo'ing; and Sharon and Amanda were just bummy and didn't really do that much... oh yeah, and Mel was out 'coz she was at her U2 concert.
Well apart from that, me, my sister and Fi got really hungry so we made nachos.... like, a LOT [[o_o]]. Then after we ate I started feeling sick and got a mega headache so I fell asleep on the couch.
I woke up an hour or so later and my sister was sitting in one of the doorways with Sharon and Mel - all stoned. It was funny. I pretty much stumbled along into the bedroom and went to sleep.
------------------------------
[14/10/07] You know, I've pretty much abandoned this entire blog forever, and I can't really remember exactly how the rest goes, but I think after that, it was just the next day. We packed our stuff, ate lunch, and drove home.

Shhhhh! >_O

Well, it's 2am (and more when I finish this) and I should really head off to bed soon. Went studing today with my sister and her friend and my god, I must remember NEVER to go studying with them - ended up talking and did shit all. Got home at about 12am (we left home at about 6:30pm to get to Monash Uni Library, then at about 9:30pm drove back to Glenny to eat at Star East), and escaped a lecture from my mum by about 20 seconds - after we ate my sister went to go see her boyfriend while her friend dropped me off home. If I rocked up home without my sister my mum would've asked me where the hell she was and get all shitty and blah-blah ('coz she's paranoid like that).

12am - Got home. Quietly went into the study and turned on the computer.
12:30am - Started thinking "shit, mum might wake up soon, better go upstairs." Turned off computer, went upstairs. Had shower.
12:45am - Walked back to my room, closed door, turned off main light and turned on lamp.
12:46am - Turned on laptop 'coz I forgot to check some stuff online.
+ 4 seconds - Heard house creaks. Concluded mum was awake. Panicked.
+ 6 seconds - Turned off laptop. Panicked.
+ 5 seconds - Put laptop back on desk (I was sitting in my bed with the laptop on my bed).
+ 5 seconds - Turned off lamp, shoved myself into covers and pretended I was asleep.
12:47am - Mum goes into my sisters room.
+ 20 seconds - Mum opens my door. Stands there for a little while. Leaves door open.
12:48am - Mum goes downstairs. I am a bit confused.
12:50am - Mum comes back to my room. Walks in. Moves my blankets a bit (possibly to check if I'm there or it's just piles of blanket, or if I'm actually asleep). I panic.
12:51am - Mum closes door. Leaves back to her room. I wait.
1am - I get out of bed, turn back on my lamp and laptop.

Well, yeah. Gonna get some sleep now.

One last thought... in just another two weeks (probably less now) my final year of high school will be finished. And you know what, I'll never... EVER have to touch Specialist-FUCKING-Maths EVER AGAIN. WOOT. Complex numbers and vectors can all go to hell.

That is all. Niteoo, folks!

insert relevant title...?

Ahhh it's been a while since my first entry, and I keep putting off writing in here 'coz I'm so lazy and all. [Very lazy indeed... I started this post a while ago but never finished it 'til today! I'll leave it short 'coz I've written another one after this.]

Well, two weeks of apparent school "holidays" have past. Much studying done over the weeks, although not as productive as I would've liked, I think I need to ban Wikipedia off my 'net somehow, I keep reading random crap on there. Hours of partially-educational fun.

Ohyeh... went to Andrew's house the other day with Kristin and Nat - too bad Lisa couldn't go, but then again she didn't really miss out on much lol. And as planned, we made cake! I made some awesomely fatty cupcakes with butter icing, and Nat and Kristin attempted to make Creme Brulee. Both turned out too sweet, headaches folled after consumption but all in good fun I suppose [:)]
Although personally think it was more eventful the week before when we crashed his house on the last day of school. Nat was the first one to leave, then Kristin, Lisa and I decided to make dinner for Andrew considering his sister had left for HK and wasn't coming back for two weeks, and he's and idiot and can't really cook much (bwahaha xD). We walked back to the Glen to grab some food, and dropped Lisa off back at school to get picked up. At Coles we ended up buying some soup, carrots, mince, and some more pasta stuff. Then we walked back to his house and started cooking dinner - through my fridge raiding I discovered a bottle of Smirnoff Black Ice, which we drank "shots" of. Many a-toasts we made.
Bummed around for a while, Kristin went home. I stayed for another half an hour or so, we played Halo (which I now think is a bit overrated). Then went home, much tired.

It's MHS formal! [x3 --> -.-]

Hello there to the people who are actually reading this - your interest confuses me because you have nothing better to do than read this crap?

Mmh... I know I should write an entry about the MHS formal 'coz it's LONG overdue, but honestly I just can't be bothered 'coz I'm lazy, and tired... and I just had Methods/Spesh tutoring for two hours [Note: This entry was finished two days after the day I started it], but even if this was some other day the first two reasons would still apply.

I believe Quyen and Nat's blog entries can vouch for most of what happened on the night. What I'm writing about now includes details of BEFORE and AFTER the actual formal.

[IN THE BEGINNING...]

{First Point}
Okay, over the month before the formal, my parents had been getting really shitty and me and my sister (for reasons I shall not disclose). Alan called me about a week or two before formal night and asked me to be his partner. [Initial response: I have to ask.]
After some conversation or so, I called my sister afterwards.
Her: OMFG! GO! <insert>
Me: What about mum and dad?
Her: We'll work that out later...
Me: Okay.
Which resulted in my final response to Alan, [Me: I can go, "my parents said it was fine"] where "my parents said it was fine" actually meant "they have no fucking idea".

So over the next few weeks my sister and I kept trying to come up with things that I could tell my parents.
[What I told my parents: "I'm going to Steph's house to sleep over 'coz she wants me to help her with some work that she's stuck on."]
</insert>I was pretty surprised at how well that worked - I'd been shitting myself the second my mum got home 'coz I was waiting for a good time to ask her. I eventually ended up waiting out the entire night until about 10pm or when my mum was all shacked up in her room loading herself watching her k-dramas. Always the best time to ask.
<insert>
Ok... Actual Plan.
1. Come home from school (approx. 2:30pm)
2. Hang around until about 4:30pm (when both my parents would be home, and Steph would be home).
3. Get my sister to take me to Steph's house with all my stuff that I packed into the boot of her car the night before while everyone was asleep.
4. Get dressed.
5. Go to formal (pick up Quyen on the way).
6. Go to afterparty of some sorts.
7. Come back to Steph's house.
8. Sleep.
</insert><insert>
{Second Point}
While this was all happening, at the same time I was trying to get Steph to go to MHS formal as well.
[Initial Plan]
The actual existance of MHS formal in my mind wasn't actually there until Jason asked me for Monica's phone number - he was originally gonna ask her to be his partner but she couldn't go (he went with Nat in the end :D).
Anyway... roughly a week before formal (Saturday or Sunday night I believe), I asked Jason if he knew ANYONE that would be wiling to take Steph with them, keeping in mind that they didn't have to pay for ticket (I was helping her pay half her ticket 'coz really it was me that was dragging her there). After going through a few guys, I talked to this guy - Henry Le.

Ladies and Gentlemen, you must remember this name - HENRY LE.

H-E-N-R-Y .... L-E. If you ever meet the guy, please kick him in the balls for me.

Now, we got talking and stuff, and he eventually agreed to take Steph - he would:
a. Buy her a ticket (with us paying him the money on the night)
b. Book her place on his table

Both of us assumed that he'd bought the tickets and everything was completely fine. Steph was starting to get a bit paranoid though 'coz we hadn't heard ANYTHING from him since that day. so the night before, we tried contacting him (MSN, mobile, and so forth). After about two hours of trying to get through to him, he finally responded to our messages on MSN and he said:

"Oh sorry, I didn't get your ticket. The table was full."

OH MY GOD, FUCK. We got SO FUCKING PISSED OFF! Like, WHAT THE FUCK, MAN!? YOU COULDN'T TELL US ABOUT TWO DAYS EARLIER!?
<insert>
Well, Steph was pretty fucked over, and techically I was too 'coz I was supposed to be staying at her place and if she's wasn't going it'd totally blow my cover [>.>]. So over the next day, we came up with a new plan:

1 - 4 (no change).
5. Me and Quyen go to formal, drop off Steph at Melbourne Central
Steph was meeting up with a friend to hang around with for the few hours we were away.
6. Afterwards, go find Steph
7. Hang around in city for a while
8. Call my sister, go home

Steph still had to deal with her parents 'coz they actually still thought that she was going, so before we left Steph still had to pretty herself up to make it believeable. She planned on telling her parents what happened afterwards (which she did, replacing the "meeting up with my friend" with "meeting up with Vincent (close family friend) 'coz he's in the city. The second part was partially true though, she did go see him while he was in the city: he was leaving to Adelaide the next day to start Uni and was out drinking with his friends.

It was actually pretty gay, 'coz the three of us all had different stories we told out parents.
Me: "I'm going to Steph's house to study."
Steph: "I'm going to MHS formal."
Quyen: "I'm going to Steph's formal."
But hey, at least the other lies were closer to being true.

Anyway, we followed this plan of ours quite well, although what actually happened was not so pleasant.
------------------------------------------------------------
>->--> FAST FORWARD >->-->

[||] The only things I will mention from formal night.
We ended up getting there pretty late 'coz the traffic to city was HORRIBLE. But anyway...
Got there late, and we went through the side entrance too, Alan and Will (Quyen's partner) had to come up the escalators to get us [><]. Moving on: I got an awesome formal present from Alan (whee! x3) He bought me a corsage, had pretty little dark pink roses and white flowers, and my god, IT SMELT SOOOOOOOOOOOO NIIIIIICEEE~! [x3] Highly addictive! [^o^] I got kinda shitty over the night though 'coz people kept bumping into me and squashing it a bit. I finally bought a jar for it on Monday, I must've kept the thing pretty well 'coz when I put it into the jar the flowers weren't fully dead yet. </insert></insert>[||]

>->--> FAST FORWARD >->-->
------------------------------------------------------------
<insert><insert>
[AFTERMATH...]

Okayz where to start now... hmm....
Well let's see: formal had finished, most of us were leaving, or at least just standing around outside. The initial after-party plan was to go kareoke, but we couldn't get enough people together that wanted to go. I called Steph to see where she was so we could go find her - shittily enough for me, she was at Melbourne Central. Most of us were broke (well, 'cept me, I was carrying $60 in my bag for uhh... backup?) so we couldn't get a cab. So we walked there.

WALKED.

I think I need to point out how painful this was:
IT WAS COLD.
LYN WAS WEARING HEELS.
Grand Hyatt - - - - - - - - - - insert "very far distances"<insert><insert> - - - - - - - - - - -Melb. Central.

We managed to catch a tram (I didn't even know they ran that late O.o") that took us some of the way there, and I hobbled along a bit more (with some help from Alan, of course ;P). Finally got to Melbourne Central and found Steph.
I assumed everything was goin' preeety well at that point. That is, until she told me the guy turned out to be a complete fucktard.

Like, no kidding.

In the few hours I knew him, I wanted him to just DIE. The shithead was (from this point on, I will not refer to him by name, only by whatever profanity I believe fits best)... well, walking around in the city with him was like looking after some 6-year-old kid. The main reason why he was still around afterwards was 'coz we were supposed to be taking him home (this decision was made before we found out he was dick). Every few seconds you'd hear "ZOMG I HAV3 TO GO TO W0RK T0MOR0W!1!!1" and, "IT'S LATE i N33D T0 GO HOME11!!1!"* True, he did have to work the next day, and it WAS late (roughly 2am I think). But still, he could've taken a cab home (at some point he WAS thinking about it), or at least just leave us alone and SHUT THE FUCK UP. She told me it was really awkward with him and had to deal with pointless and crappy conversation, ie. "Soooo, do you like... stuff?" [xD]. Although she went and watched "Pirates of the Caribbean" which took up a nice two hours.
*{Numbers used to emphasise his n00bish-ness}

Well yeah, anyways... after we found Steph, we sat there for about 20 minutes or so, trying to think of something to do. Pool was the first idea we could think of (actually it was Will's idea 'coz he wanted to go play). So we WALKED around the city a bit more, but when we eventually found the place, the guy there wouldn't let us play 'coz we didn't have any ID. I guess even if we did he wouldn't let us 'coz I think we had to be 18+.

Shitty as the walking was, Steph bought some $4 thongs from Target while I was away (she was wearing heels too, 'though not as hardcore-painful as mine), so we'd keep swapping between shoes.

In the end we walked over to Crown, sat down for a little while, got some drinks and so on. Walked over to Galactic Circus, but by this time our spirits had died and I think we all just wanted to go home (not including the stupid dumbshit, he was just being annoying). Me and Steph sat on an electric chair thingy, Alan and Will walked around some.
Oh side bit: my sister was actually going out clubbing that night and was supposed to take us home afterwards. I called her up a few times and she didn't pick up, so me and Steph decided she was completely smashed (which she wasn't... it was 'coz the clubbing area didn't have reception ^^;;). We called Lawson's brother Matt to come pick us up (he was the backup in case my sister couldn't come get us).

The four of us all hugged and said our goodbyes [3x] - me, Steph and the shitface were the first to leave.
Although while we were walking Alan and Will eventually caught up to us 'coz they had to home too (and thank god, I'd actually forgotten I still had Alan's camera in my pocket - man those pockets on my jacket were awesome!).

The three of us went outside and found Matt and got into the car. For the entire trip back we were all tired and didn't say anything to each other. That is, until we finally dropped (mmh... what word haven't I used yet?) the fuckwit (nice one *nod*) off at his car*. The second he got out, we fully just started bitching to Matt about what a complete dickhead he was - I think we kinda scared him a bit lol.
*{The guy, from what Steph told me, was in first year "Uni" so to speak. He was in the same year level and school as her family friend Vincent, and dropped out sometime during year 11 to do some cooking course thing... yeah. Apparenty he did it because "no one else had the balls to drop out and do what they really wanted" or some crap like that - Honestly I think he was the one that really needed to grow a pair. And aparrently the guy was "mentally unstable" according to Vincent. Note that Steph only found this out on the night when she went and visited him while he was out with his friends.}

</insert></insert></insert></insert>Oh well, we finally got back to Steph's place, changed into our PJ's and cleaned ourselves up some. We (well... Steph did) went downstairs and got some food to eat while we chatted a bit before sleeping. She bought up some really awesome peanuts her mum made... man they were sooooo addictive! [x3] we ended up falling asleep at around 4:30am - 5am or so.

<insert><insert><insert><insert>And thus concludes my evening - if I think of anything else I'll just add it in later.

Hmm... on a lighter note, here's a follow up on my previous post about childhood cartoons: "The Busy World of Richard Scarry"

I actually know most of the word to this song, haha. Why? Because I'm an absolutely lazy ass plus stacks of work.

[Well, I've been busy for the past hour actually doing spesh work that I'm behind it. Huzzah, now I'm not as behind as I was to start with.
I should really be asleep now though, it's wuite late, but then I don't have to wake up until 7:45am-ish 'coz I start at 9 tomorrow (yay! free period one!)]

Hmm... well... there'd time to wasted before I go to bed. Really should be studying some more for chem SAC tomorrow, but I guess this can be a break/sort-of thing.

Perks of my past week.

Haha.... NAT'S CHEWY VITAMINS - FOR KIDS!!!!!!! xD
Thursday - Nat had to go buy some vitamins thingys 'coz she can't swallow tablets, which were actually chewy strawberry-flavoured (sidenote: ASIAN strawberry-flavoured) vitamins for kids (it said "FOR KIDS" in bright colourful letters on the side of the box). Me an' Kristin went with her, and probaly out of tiredness we started screaming "CHEWY VITAMINS - FOR KIDS! FOR KIDS!" pretty much until we got the chemist.
Although the entire thing eventually got longer and longer.
ie. First version from school to the crossing/traffic lights:
"CHEWY VITAMINS - FOR KIDS! FOR KIDS!" + endless screaming of "FOR KIDS!"
Second version from crossing/traffic lights to entrance to Village Walk
"WE'RE GOING TO THE CHEMIST TO BUY CHEWY VITAMINS - FOR KIDS! FOR KIDS!" + endless screaming of "FOR KIDS!"
Final version from Vilage Walk to the chemist
"WHERE ARE WE GOING?"
"TO THE CHEMIST?"
"WHAT ARE WE GETTING?"
"CHEWY VITAMINS!"
"FOR KIDS!"
+ endless screaming of "FOR KIDS!"
Ahhh poor Nat, if only you could master the art of tablet-swallowing xD

Ahh yes, cartoons! Muchly discussed during one of our lunchtimes. I believe I'm way too in touch with my childhood for it to be normal, haha. Since I remembered a few live action shows as well, here's a list of cartoons we mentioned, plus a few other TV shows I remember (thanks to the list of shows ever viewed on ABC kiddy timeslots on the ABC website):

Angry Beavers
AAARRRGGGHH!!! Real Monsters
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Animaniacs (which also covers for Pinky and the Brain)
Animals of Farthing Wood
BABAR (Holy crap, can't believe I almost missed that!)
BananaMan
Billy the Cat
Blinky Bill
Bump in the Night
The Busy World of Richard Scarry!
Captain Planet
Catdog
Daria (although that wasn't really a childhood cartoon)
Doug (I think that was a bit more recent though)
Fireman Sam
Freaky Stories
Gargoyles
Genie From Down Under
George and Martha
Gumby
Hey Arnold!
Johnson and Friends
Katie and Orbie
Madeline
The Magical Adventures of Mumfie
Miffy
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers [the First season]
Mr. Squiggle [~the man from the mooooon!]
Ninja Turtles (the old one where the Turtles actually had eyes)
Noddy
Paddington Bear
Pingu
Plasmo
Postman Pat
Raggy Dolls
Ren and Stimpy ('tho I never got into that)
Rocko's Modern Life
'Round the Twist (the old series)
Rodger Ramjet
Rugrats (before 'Dil was born)
The Secret Life of Toys
The Secret World of Alex Mack
Sesame Street (when Hooper's Store was actually owned by Mr Hooper)
Soul Music
Stickin' Around
SuperTed
Tin Tin
The Twisted tales of Felis the Cat
Where's Wally?
The World of Peter rabbit and Friends
The Wild Thornberrys

Whoo, that took a lot outta me.

Anyways, this post was actually finished a while ago but I just kept forgetting to put it up. Ther's actually some more things I should post about ie. formals, but my stomach decided die today and if I stretch in some weird position I could potentially make myself throw up. How I know this is that I almost did that about an hour ago.

Before I finish this here's another one:
6. Waking up on weekends: Mmh.... I have this thing where I refuse to wake up after 12, so instead I set my alarm clock for 11:30am. Even though it's half an hour, the fact is I woke up before noon. My sleeping intake is weird, my unfunctional hours of sleep include less than 5 hours, and 10 hours. That last one has always confused me a bit: if I get 9 hours of sleep, I'm fine, if I have more that 11 or more I'm fine. 10 hours generally means I will feel like shit.

Odd things: habits, likings, and neuroticisms.

Well, although I finished my chem assignment just under two hours ago [current time; 1:19am], I am still awake - just that, instead of being downstairs all cold, tired, and having a sore back from sitting the the same position for too long, I'm now tired and comfy in my bed with my sister's laptop [x3].

Indeedy I am an odd person. I was actually thinking about this a few nights ago, as in, how many weird habits and things I have. I'm pretty sure there's quite a few (my sister tells me so, haha). Let's see:

1. Joint Cracking - Ahh yes, I don't even remember when it started really... You know how some people feel the need to crack their knuckles periodically to feel better/comfortable? Eh, I'm sure I've told a few people, I periodically feel the need to crack my toes [mmh... I feel this thought requires a face... xD? O.o? Both seem to fit well]. It especially shits me when I'm wearing tight shoes and I can't curl my toes arounf enough for me to do it when I need to [>.>].

About a month ago I discovered a way to crack my back... when I realised that after that day I'd been doing it every night for about 5 days in a row, I knew it was time to stop [^^;;].

2. Food - This one is actually regarding fried rice. I like eating it normally, but at some point last year I started eating it with peanuts (ground in small bits so I actually mixed it into the rice) and fried garlic oil [O.o"]. I would still eat it like that, but my dad contaminates our supply every time my mum makes more by adding mini shrimp to it (ugh...). Now I'm just on peanuts.
I guess Lisa isn't so weird, I eat strange things too... though I still don't think peanut butter goes with everything [>.>].

3. My room - Not too bad, I'm sure this would apply to pretty much anyone. I get really annoyed whenever my mum (in a fit of cleaning madness) decides to come into my room and clean up all my shit. So the next time I rock up, my first reaction is "WTF?! Where's all my shit gone?!" What ultimately pisses me off though is when afterwards she says, "Oh, your room was so messy. I had to clean it, I couldn't stand looking at it." Well fuck, mum.
She doesn't do it any more, well at least not openly anyways. I always know when she's been in to inspect my room when on the odd occasion I actually find stuff I was planning to put on my ceiling in my rubbish bin (yes, I do go through my bin and pull the things out... but hey, my bin is pretty clean, only paper and tissues [^^]).

4. My dad - This isn't really my problem though... sometimes when I'm doing work, or I'm on the computer, my dad just comes in and stands there. It's actually quite creepy [O.o"]. It's to the point where sometimes I feel like I can't be doing anything because of it, I actually just stop... but pretend I'm still doing work. You all know the comedy group Tripod right? Go on LimeWire and if you can, download a song called "Lingering Dad" - captures the idea nicely.

5. My Wardrobe - When I sleep I need to have them closed. I don't know why, I just feel weird if they're open when I sleep (no, it's not a dust issue).

I should get some sleep... [*Clicks save as draft, will continue this later*]

Mmh...can't be bothered listing any more of these. If I ever think of any, I'll just put them into the post (labeled with a number). Enjoy? [^^?]

I'm bored! (and random cleanup!)

[Day 3]

Well, final day of camp. Not too much happened here.

I guess it's safe to say that the four of us were all metally fucked when we woke up [-.- ~zzz] - I think Monica probably had the worst sleep 'coz she was cramped up in the corner of the bed (her legs didn't drap over the bed like ours did 'coz her end was blocked off by the nightstand).
We had another motivational session-talk thing, though this one wasn't as boring. He came and spoke to us before about being organised, and mental-maps things to help us remember stuff. I can't remember his name, but he was that Olympic diver that did the awesome blackflip xD

Hmmz... that's pretty much all I can remember. I slept a little on the bus, got about half-an-hour's worth. Lol, I wasn't too sure if I'd slept at all but since I was listening to my mp3-player at the time and I remember the song being different from when I fell asleep to when I woke up.

RANDOM CLEANUP - This is just all the little things I wanted to mention, but couldn't really fit them into the entries properly.

"Not-So-Glorious Food": It was just plain BAD... actually, maybe not that bad, but I'd say... decent on the negative side. Imagine:
Bad ----[YOU ARE HERE]---- Decent -------- Good
Pretty understandable though, I mean the food had to be mass produced; really, Nayook food was better (which was still mass produced, but to a lesser extent). You know, by the end of it I actually missed eating rice.

"They called them Bathrooms": Our bathroom was pretty yucky-looking, it had grainy bathroom tiles (the kind at public pools *eewww*). I remember several times coming out of the shower clean, then have my feet get dirty again from all the dirt had stuck to the tiles. The shower itself wasn't too bad though, but the shower head seriously pissed us all off. The stupid thing was tiny (so you got barely any water out of it) and it was stuck right in the middle over the wall - by that I mean, when water came out of it (which I should also say was at a weak-ass pressure), it was JUST at chest level >.>
We were pretty lucky though 'coz we had our own private bathroom (we were staying in a lodge - it was like a set of 6 or so cabins joined together like a big house), some of the cabins had to use separate ones outside.

"Seaweed": I swear there was HEAPS of it at the beach. Every time I got out there'd be several bits wrapped around my ankles. It was kinda gross whenever we got back to shower at our cabins 'coz we'd pull out all these random bits of seaweed out of our shirts and undies [X_x].

"My face!": This really was a combination of the three things just mentioned: bad food, salt water, and bad hygine (from the bathrooms). Even though I bought clenser and face cream with me, by the time camp ended my face felt like sand paper. Before that my face was reasonably ok, it took me like two weeks of using my sister's face masks and hardcore clenasing to fix it. I even had to pull out some skin toner.

"Goodnight Monica" : I think some time on the second day, Monica fell asleep, I think it was during rehersals times for the people doing role-plays. Anyways, me and Nat went to wake her up a couple of times, geez.. took us forever to ge her up. We tried once in the afternoon, then we came back an hour or so later coz nothing happened the first time. From what I recall, we tried:
- tickling
- moving her arms around
- pinching her nose so she couldn't breathe
- did stuff to her face (pinching and so forth)

"The Munchies at Midnight": This is in regards to the four of us staying up late at night. Since we'd be up so late, eventually dinner would wear off and we'd get really hungy. Lisa bought a stash of M&Ms with her and I had my litle box of Eclipse mints, saved us all on both nights from hunger pains. They lasted us well, we polished them all off by the second night. For those who've seen my room, that Eclipse box on my ceiling is the one from camp.

"You call that water?": Just.. eww... We didn't find out until the last day but there was actually a tank of filtered water at camp. We all bought bottled water with us - after we tried drinking water from the normal taps at camp, we tried to ration what little water we had left in our bottles. But man, that tap water was NAAAASTY! At first I thought it was just me, until someone said "... is it just me or does this water taste funny?" I don't know how it compared to everyone else but I thought it tasted like overnight water. For those who don't know, pour yourself a glass of water and leave it overnight. Next day, take a sip of it - if you think it tastes funny then THAT is what camp tap water tastes like. Hint: the longer you leave it out for, the worse it'll taste lol

"The Music Box/Locker Incident": For those who don't know... I'm leaving this open to speculation lol

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://pockydays-x3.blogspot.com/2006/06/33-goodbye-to-cowes-and-random-cleanup.html' title='[3/3] Goodbye to Cowes... Details of the morning are a bit hazy, me not being all that awake you see... but moving on to stuff I remember...

Perk: For one of our seminar things, "Guided Imagery" I think it was called, we had to take our sleeping bags with us to the gym; the woman who was running the session got us to do some yoga-like exercises, then lie down on our sleeping bags - I fell asleep as soon as we hit the floor. Well, not instantly. I think we did something like focusing energy on different parts of your body (something along those lines - feel free to correct me on that), starting at the feet. I don't think I got past the knees. I didn't even get to the apparent story-reading part.
Luckily I woke myself up before anyone else had to (some people got woken up by Mr. Penso *shudder*); Monica said I was snoring a bit (not snoring, I think it was more heavy breathing of sorts), though it was probably covered up by Vincent who's snoring was apparently awesomely loud. Good work.

Beach: I was prepared this time - I brought my camera with me so that I knew I wouldn't allow myself to get too far into the water. This time, I really didn't get higher my knees in water. There was this bit on the shore with really, really, squishy sand - I shoved my feet in there up to my ankles (I took a photo of it too, looks like I don't have feet lol).

That session before was actually kind of in a two-part thing - Fraser people did this session first, while the Goolagong people went to do this uber-boring seesion about career choice stuff with Ms. Tsalikis (ugh...), then we'd swap over (after lunch I think it was). Anyways, I called my sister at some point (either before or after we went to the beach, she called me the night before - lol, my phone rang when it was on the table and we thought it was Lisa's so I didn't bother picking it up). She told me that that when she was at camp she just wagged all the sessions and bummed around in her room with her firneds. We were a bit chickenshit at first since a couple of guys got busted the day before, but we ended up staying in.
When we came out later Andrew, Alex and Vincent and stuff were asking where we were (lol xD).

RolePlay: Ahhhh, the fun night! This was like, free performance for people. Stuff I remember: Captain Planet, people singing, the short play by the form captains... I'm sure there was other cool stuff but I can't remember any right now.
- Captain Planet: Lisa ended up doing this bit with Grace, Vidhya, Tracy, Sandra, and Vincent... I'm sure there was another person but I can't remember who it was >.> Pretty much they just did a short episode, Sandra was Ms. Slocombe wasting paper and being evil and etcetera, I think Tim was Captain Planet? Oh well... highlights of it were: Vincent as "Heart!" with his cheesy pose, and saying "I can hear their screams!" when dicussing how many trees died make paper, and the dancing bit at the end (not really dancing, just posing to music and so forth).
- Singing and Dancing: There were a couple of people who sang and stuff, some people played piano. Alex (Lai?) Played "Imagine" by John Lennon, pretty good - got the audience singing lol. I think someone else tried playing Canon - not too good, but he tried =D
- Form captain's Play: Short play made by the form captains. Can't remember the actual plot (if there was one) all I remember was something with Charlie's Angels, and Karate training. Was funny anyways. Very awesome.
Quote: "The way of the sperm!"

Lights Out: Stayed up almost all night again. This time we had some serious chatting and stuff, 'twas good - we each got our turn to get some stuff said. We got busted once at 1-ish, but we just kept talking anyways. Haha, I think someone told me on the first camp there were some guys (can't remember who they were... =/) playing poker really late at night and got busted by Mr. Chard.
We were just sitting around in our beds at first, then since it was annoying for us to all chat to each other we eventually all moved down to Nat's bed since she had the double (Lisa was already there 'coz she was playing with Nat's phone); our feet were kinda draped over the side of the bed, so Monica went and got all out suitcases and piled them together at the end of the bed so that we could properly put our legs out. I was one the side closer to the door, then it was Lisa, Nat, then Monica next to the wall; Lisa kept elbowing my leg accidentally 'coz she was actually lying down and I was still kinda sittin up.
We stayed up later than the ight before - I think Lisa dropped off first this time. I kept trying to stay awake but I kept phasing in and out so I eventually fell asleep too, I thik that was around 4 - 4:30-ish. Nat and Monica said they slept pretty soon afterwards.

Concluded in the next entry...

[1/3]"Whoa! Check out the watermelons on this chick!"

//Holy crapness, I totally forgot about my blog! camp was months ago... I guess I'll try and finish this as best as I can ^^;; Sorry! Since I realised there's actually quite a lot of stuff for me to write about, I've decided to split the thing into three entries. //

Well, I was at camp from Wednesday to Friday and aside from all the boring hour-long lectures about "organisation" and "working hard in your final year", it was awesome. Got heapsa' free time, went to the beach twice (swam once 'coz I gave up trying to stay dry), stayed up late 'til 3am on the first night, and almost 4am on the second night.

[Day 1]
Arrival.
Soon as I got there, we got put into duty groups and I had to help serve lunch [X_x], but I still god the easy job [xD].

Oh something else I should mention. When we were getting around to Phillip Island, I pretty much hadn't been to th beach for age. It was nice to see ocean again after, what... 4 years? Something like that. Glorious, even though the water wasn't that particularly clean. But hey, can't complain.
I actually went in the afternoon with Nat, Lisa and Monica (and met with a couple of ohers there - Andrew, Alex, I vaugely remember a few other people there, but I took photos with them so ... yeah haha >.>). I didn't bring any acutual swimming stuff with me 'coz I wasn't actually planning on going swiming (why? because I'm a fag... no really, I don't know why. The weather was pretty shitty before we went, I didn't actually think it'd improve when we arrived - the first camp didn't go to the beach 'coz of the crap weathr) - so at first I though "Ok, just wear your skirt, and don't get further than your knees."
Eventaully, I ended up wading in until just below my skirt touched the water. But then, oh fuck, tide came in and got me wet to my waist. I gave up about 10 minutes later and just swam around in my skirt and black top (for those who've seen me wear it, it was the "Playboy" one).
When I got back to my cabin I showered, then I had to wash all my clothes in the sink to get rid of as much crap as possible (I'm surprised how much seaweed came out of it).

The first night, everyone had to do roleplays in relation to a school problem the teachers gave us. My group had to show the stress that school could have on a boy/girlfriend relationship, so we got one of our guys to act like a girl and shoved apples in his shirt for boobs. 'Twas the shit.
Another group's was about studying to get the grades you want, but generally most of them had the same kinda moral - study hard, don't over party, don't stress too much, yadda-yadda and so forth. Though reading the title (this is written after several months of neglecting this post), there was one of the bits that just made me shat myself (so did many others). Andrew Lam was in one of the "groups" or non-studying people, and he pointed at his phone at some point and said "Whoa! Check out the watermelons on this chick!" Good times. Other hilights... geez... my memory sucks. Probably shoulda filled this in a while ago.

Ahh... lights out. Not for us though. We ended up chatting 'bout random crap for most of the night. Nat dozed off first. At some point me and Monica started singing a lot of Backstret Boys songs (I went to their concert a few weeks before) - at the time, I think think she was the only person I knew who'd listened to their new album. Lisa slept sometime afterwards, though she did catch into some of us singing. I think me and Monica ended up sleeping at around 3:30am.

Continued in next entry...

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://pockydays-x3.blogspot.com/2006/02/13whoa-check-out-watermelons-on-this.html' title='[1/3]"Whoa! I wrote it SEVERAL weeks ago, I just never got around to posting it 'coz I still had to edit it and crap. But for some STUPID reason every time I edit it, the changes are NEVER saved, especially the paragraphing.

So I'm just gonna post this as it is so I don't just have a draft lying around in my pending entries. [06/02/06]//

Okz, SO - my other post was too long (that, and I was gettin' tired... no I lie, I couldn't be bothered writing any more) and I said that I'd talk about the blackout.

So therefore:

[2]

Few nights ago (I can't remember which; seriously man, I can't keep track of the days anymore, everything is all the same now... ) I was at home with my parents. At around 8pm all the electricity goes out.

Nothing.

It was still bright out so it wasn't too bad to start off with. I was doing work on my sister laptop so when everything went out I still had a few good minutes left to finish up and save my junk [<3]. So for the next hour or so, the three of us were just moping around the house - by this time both my parents would've been watching their series or whatever, but without anything on we pretty much did nothing. 9pm - the candles were out. 4 to start off with, two fat red ones that we used for "bai" (I'll explain that if you ask me, but I can't be bothered typing it in here right now [-.-"]) and two little orange ones, which I ended up putting into glasses so that they we could carry them around and not get blown out 'coz the windows were open. A little while later my sister came home with her boyfriend (Lawson). My mum made her call AGL to see "what the fuck was going" on as my sister put it. That was at 'bout 9:30pm. An hour later at 10:30pm, we decided to just hang up - yes, we managed to stay on the phone for an entire hour. We concluded at the end it would've been pointless though, I mean, what can they say? "Yeah, we're having some problems with [whatever-whatever] and we think it's been caused by [whatever-whatever]. We're currently fixing the problem now and we'll try and get it working again soon." Indeed... [O.o"]

Lawson left for a while for some reason or other ("we're outta tea"... bahahaha [xD] ) and both my parents went to sleep, purely 'coz there was nothing else better to do... than sleep. Otherwise they're both be hogging the two TVs downstairs. [xP] More candles: my sister had this old box o' purple candles that her friend gave her in Year 10 but never used, so we took those out. Wasn't really necessary to light them all (there were four in total) but she wanted to " 'coz it's fun". To add to her fun or whatever, we put one in an empty Pringles tin, kinda reminded me of tiki torch [xD], stuck two into the melted wax from one of the red candles, and the last one into the was of the other. I should take some photos, they look hardcore-fucked now. We started playing with re-hardened wax where there was a lot starting to build up. Being girls we were deprived of the childhood pyro stage so we were reasonably amused. After a while she decided to take a nap, I kept nagging her to stay awake but I gave up after a while... so I started plaing solitaire (love those cards [xP]).

My sister woke up a bit later when Lawson got back. I was started playing with candle wax again. Later on one of his friend came over as well. From about 12:30am-ish onwards we played 20 rounds of Big 2, keeping score for the winner. Dammit I was playing well and winning, then I got fucked over right at the end [>.>].

Lights came back on at about 1:30am so they'd pretty much been out for 5 hours.

So yes, that was my night.

Good Evening [o.o]

Well let's see - 'tis 1:23am. I'm sitting upstairs on my computer, its hot and stuffy, and my ass and legs are sticking to the chair. Lovely.

Indeedy, out of my uber-boredomness I have created a blog *le gaspz!* under the example of Quyen and Lisa, therefore Lyn is now a poser [~^.-"].

Haven't done much recently, unless you count being a dick and just bumming around the house as something. So instead, I'll go through the perks o' my previous weeks for your entertainment.. at least, the perks I remember.

[1]
Ahhh yes, the city. I can't remember what day is was when I met up with Lisa at Melbourne Central, but dammit it was hot [D:]. We walked around lots, mostly 'coz we kept gettin' lost [-.-"].
Koko Black was first. Both of us got hot chocolate DESPITE the uber-hotness outside, and we shared a Belgian Spoils (a small platter with stuff like chocolate, ice cream, chocolate mousse and so forth). Man, we felt so sick afterwards, but the chocolate was awesome [<3]. Oh yeah, and the Headless Chicken is awesome.

So, we walked around some more, got lost some more... I swear I will NEVER AGAIN willingly be alone with Lisa in the city (you're sense of direction sucks! [xD]), we ended up at Flinders Station 2 or 3 times 'coz we kept missing the stop. But moving on... at about 3:30pm-ish we met up with Alan and his friends since they were on their way to see "Memoirs of a Geisha".

OH YEAH! On the way out of Melbourne Central, I bought BLUE TAK! Geebus, I cannot stress enough my happiness at that point [=D]. I'd been needing some blue tak for a while since I'd already used all of mine sticking up stuff on my ceiling (for those who don't know, I plan to cover my bedroom ceiling with stuffs) - I just got some more photos developed (roughly 70 photos from last day of school and formal) and I needed more to put them up.

Anyways, we met up with his friends and walked with them to Chinatown. Me an' Lisa (yes, I'm aware of the grammatical error) ended up stopping at an Asian store and they went ahead - we both got a bit weirded out, probably 'coz we were the only girls or something, who knows... [^^;;]

We went to the cinema tho' since it was hot out and sat around for a while. Then we noticed how the 4 cinemas that were there were pretty much unattended. We seriously considered sneaking in, or getting Alan to come back out with ticket stubs so we could get in, but we didn't wanna get our asses caned by our parents so we left (although, if it weren't for that fact we probably woulda gone in).

For the last time, we got lost again. Lisa needed to stop at Academic to get a book, but we missed the stop and ended up at Flinders again [xP]. After that we went back to Flinders and took our trains home.

And that was my day.

I just realised how long this post was, so instead I'll talk about my other perk (The Blackout) in my next post tomorrow or something.

I'm off for now~
